Fr. Ernie has been described as a 'modern pioneer of Carmelite spirituality.' This book is the conclusion and fruit of many years of personal search, relating his own journey into Christian meditation. He brings the Carmelite tradition into dialogue with other contemporary spirituality of the desert. Fr. Ernie's untimely death came shortly after this book was completed. This book is a legacy to us and shows the wisdom and love to which he is now fully united.
