Description

A Child's Way

Jeannie Battagin

This book written by Jeannie Battagin is designed to provide inspiration, support and specific resources for creating and sustaining the practice of Christian Meditation among children, from first grade through to the eighth grade. Her spiritual journey and specifically practice of Christian Meditation has been influenced by an inner calling to teach children this form of prayer. This book is particularly useful for teachers, parents and grandparents who feel the call to teach Christian Meditation to children.

Jeannie Battagin, a mother of two adult sons has been a meditator in the Christian tradition since 1983. She has been a member of The World Community for Christian Meditation since its inception, leading a weekly meditation group. In 2003, she began teaching Christian Meditation to First Graders at Corpus Christi School in Oakland, CA, and continued to meet weekly with them until they graduated from the Eighth Grade. She has offered a series of workshops for teachers on Christian Meditation with Children, and has presented her experiences at the National Catholic Education Association.
